OUR PROGRAMS
Programs That Grow With Your Child
Our child care center is focused on providing developmentally appropriate activities for every child in our care. From 6 weeks to 5 years, our programs aim to meet the needs of each child’s individual age and development level. Children work at their own pace, establishing an enthusiasm for life-long learning. We work hard to create a fun, loving, organized, and stimulating environment that your children will feel comfortable in. In each age group, our experienced teachers provide activities to help build new skills and improve confidence. Our staff of teachers and caregivers understand the importance of learning and developing critical skills early on in life. Learn about the programs provided in each age group below.
Infant Room
Approximately 6 weeks to 10-12 Months
Our Infant Room provides a nurturing environment where caregivers build strong bonds with each child. We focus on creating a sense of security while laying the foundation for confidence and trust. Daily routines are customized in partnership with parents to meet each family’s needs. Our staff is trained in infant development and committed to providing a safe, stimulating space where babies can explore. Through consistent care and gentle encouragement, infants learn to feel secure and connected to their caregivers.
Toddler 2
Approximately 2.5 to 3 Years
As children grow into our Toddler 2 program, friendships and peer interaction become central to the learning experience. Group activities are expanded, and early academic concepts are gently introduced. Classrooms are filled with opportunities for creative expression, dramatic play, and hands-on exploration. Potty training is an important milestone at this stage, and our teachers partner closely with families to provide consistency and encouragement. With nurturing support, children gain independence while continuing to build social and academic readiness.
Woddlers
Approximately 10-12 Months - 18 Months
In our Woddler Room, children are encouraged to explore and discover the world around them. Activities are child-initiated, with teachers acting as facilitators who provide guidance and support. Classrooms are designed for hands-on play, and materials are rotated regularly to match children’s changing interests. Weekly lesson plans are shared with parents to provide insight into the skills being introduced. This stimulating environment nurtures curiosity and lays the groundwork for future learning.
Pre-K 3
Approximately 3-4 Years
In our Pre-K 3 classroom, social development is a primary focus. Children practice sharing, helping, using manners, and expressing emotions with words. Teachers guide circle time, story time, and group activities to build patience, listening, and communication skills. Alongside social growth, children are introduced to pre-academic concepts such as writing, numbers, sensory play, art, and dramatic play. These experiences help prepare them for the more structured learning ahead.
Toddler 1
Approximately 18 Months to 2.5 Years
Our Toddler 1 program focuses on short, engaging group activities that match each child’s interests. Teachers surround children with meaningful language to enhance learning during play and daily routines. Toddlers are encouraged to experiment with new abilities and gain confidence as they explore. Activities such as block building, riding toys, sand and water play, and dramatic play foster creativity and problem-solving. With every experience, children begin to realize they can make things happen.
Enrichment Programs
At Smart Cookies, learning extends beyond the classroom through special enrichment experiences that spark curiosity and build new skills. Each month, children enjoy a visit from the local librarian, who shares engaging stories and introduces new books to inspire a love of reading. They also take part in Soccer Shots, a fun, active program led by professional coaches that blends soccer fundamentals with lessons in teamwork and confidence. Together, these experiences enrich our curriculum and help children grow in mind, body, and spirit.
Visits from the Librarian
Each month, our children look forward to a special visit from the local librarian, who brings along a treasure trove of books to share. During these engaging story times, the librarian reads aloud, introduces new titles, and sparks the children’s excitement for books and storytelling. These visits not only build early literacy skills but also foster curiosity, imagination, and a genuine love of reading that extends beyond the classroom.
Pre-K 4
Approximately 4-5 Years
Our Pre-K 4 program emphasizes kindergarten readiness while supporting each child’s individuality. Teachers plan lessons that build pre-reading, pre-math, and self-expression skills through structured yet engaging activities. Children practice social interaction, independence, and problem-solving as they prepare for school. With a strong focus on both academics and social development, this program lays the foundation for lifelong learning. By the end of Pre-K, children are confident, capable, and ready to thrive in kindergarten.
Soccer Shots
Our partnership with Soccer Shots gives children the chance to build healthy habits while having fun on the field. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, professional coaches introduce the fundamentals of soccer while also teaching important character skills like teamwork, respect, and perseverance. These enrichment sessions keep kids active, build confidence, and show them that learning and movement go hand in hand.
